Hello!
These
pictures are taken at the “Wieringermeer”. At this placet he German
soldiers put a bomb in the dike. Just before we were liberated, the
whole area was under water. Now the Wieringermeer is a farmers area. The
place where this bombing happened is a forest where you can have a walk
or go by horse. The place where the seawater came through the dike is a
small lake with some trees. The other side of the dike is the
IJsselmeer. This lake once was salt water and an open water tot the
Waddenzee (sea). Nowadays there is build a large dike. The water is no
seawater anymore.
