Flat Stanley in Finland!

So Stanley visited Rovaniemi with me. It's the capital of Lapland, the northest region of Finalnd. It has about 60,000 inhabitants so it's fairly big for a Finnish city. Rovaniemi is also located on the Arctic Circle.

Here Stanley visited my high school, Lyseonpuiston Lukio (Lyseonpuisto High School). It's the biggest high school in Lapland with about 700 students and the building is over 100 years old. Finland is famous for it's school system which is said to be one of the best in the world.

Finland is often called the Land of a thousand lakes. That's very true, because there are almost 200,000 lakes in Finland, more than in any other country. Here's Stanley overlooking one.

Stanley is running with me in the Lappish nature at dusk.

Here's Stanley with skiing tracks. Skiing is a very popular winter sport here in the snowy Lapland.

I took Stanley with me to Santa Claus Village on the Arctic Circle. Unfortunately it was too snowy to take a picture of him on the actual Arctic Circle (it's painted on the ground there) but I took a picture of him with this sign that show the distance to some major cities.

Stanley with one of the signs.

Stanley is visiting the Santa Claus' Main Post Office. It's an actual post office where you can send your mail. And I have actually been a trainee there ones for a school project!

There are always Christmas trees at the Santa Village. Also, you can see the main building on the background.
