Hi everyone
Flat Stanley here.
I've
arrived in Sydney Australia and have met up with Le and David (from
Wise Monkeys Abroad) and the timing of my arrival was perfect because I
was able to hitch a ride with them to visit Bathurst for the Easter Long
Weekend.
Bathurst
is a city about 200 km (120 miles) inland from Sydney. It was a scenic
3-hour road trip. First thing we did when we arrived was enjoy some
grilled Barramundi and chips. YUMMY! We were famished after the long
drive.
After
that, we stopped at Mount Panorama which is a well-known motor racing
track in New South Wales. Here's me lying on a checked "finish" line
(Not THE real one though).
We walked around town and stopped for a photo in front of the courthouse.
We also spent time at a little town called Sofala. We learnt that it was the oldest surviving gold town in Australia!
After
getting back to Sydney, I was lucky enough to participate in the annual
Easter Egg Hunt at Le and David's extended family's place.
It was a great Easter break!
Until next time,
Flat Stanley
